Communication and interaction follow the sociocultural changes in humanity in all everyday situations. Brands, entities created and developed by Man, on the other hand, are shaped by the most diverse interests and wills of this same humanity. To the communication professional is required to create communication strategies for brands, which must go hand in hand with the evolution of global society, to create brand awareness. With the heyday of the Web and the migration of society to the online community, organizations also felt the need to reinvent themselves and create their digital identity. Traditional media such as television and the press have created channels to reach audiences, bringing brand communication with them. Social networks gave birth to Digital Influencers, new communication agents for brands that act as true opinion leaders among their audiences. This communicational parallelism has raised the question of the overvaluation of these new online media, and whether these really could be the right choice to work on brand awareness. Considering this issue and all the work made over the six-month internship at the public relations agency, Companhia das Soluções, this investigation report focuses on this issue in the fashion industries field by comparatively studying the brands Fred Perry, Lemon Jelly and Pinko

The aim of this article is to analyze and understand the practices and actions developed in a municipality in the state of Ceará, especially in relation to matrix support. One understands Matrix Support as a tool for organizing work processes, service flows and integration with co-responsibility of care between the Psychosocial Care Centers (Caps) and the Basic Health Units (BHU). This is a qualitative study. Data were collected, in the field, by means of semi-structured interviews with 12 health professionals from the BHU and Caps. Discourse analysis was used to investigate and systematize the data and information collected. The results showed that professionals attach importance to matrix practices in mental health (MH) care in primary care, but they relate the difficulty of co-responsibility among health facilities to the lack of continuing education, which, if it were effective, would enable teams to provide qualified mental health care in primary care as well. Permanent health education, therefore, according to the professionals, would qualify the care network in terms of strengthening matrix support in the municipality, expanding care for the population, and qualifying the breadth of the MH network.O artigo tem por objetivo analisar e compreender, no cotidiano dos serviços de saúde, as práticas e ações desenvolvidas em um município do estado do Ceará, especialmente em relação ao Matriciamento.

BACKGROUND: American tegumentary leishmaniasis (ATL) is a widespread anthropozoonosis caused by protozoa of the genus Leishmania and is considered a serious public health problem. The aim of this study was to provide a descriptive analysis of confirmed ATL cases and evaluate the spatial distribution of ATL in high-risk transmission areas from the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. METHODS: An ecological, analytical, and retrospective study of the confirmed cases of ATL in Minas Gerais from 2007 to 2017 was conducted. To characterize these cases, multiple correspondence analysis and georeferencing of the ATL prevalence rates in the municipalities were conducted based on variables obtained at Sistema Nacional de Agravos de Notificação and Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística databases. RESULTS: There were 13,025 confirmed cases of ATL from 74.4% (635) municipalities of Minas Gerais, corresponding to a prevalence rate of 66.5 cases for every 100,000 inhabitants. Males aged 20 to 59 years and individuals who attended elementary school were most affected with ATL. Multiple correspondence analysis presented an accumulated qui-squared value of 44.74%, proving that there was a relationship between the variables, including ethnicity, age, pregnancy status, zone of infection, and number of cases. CONCLUSION: We confirmed that ATL is endemic to Minas Gerais, and there is high risk of infection within the municipalities due to a high rate of parasite transmission. The occurrence of infection in children, pregnant women, and the indigenous population demonstrates the need for the government to expand social policies aimed at vulnerable groups

This paper is part of an extension project aimed at renovating the Carlos Romeiro Asylum, located in Conselheiro Lafaiete, Minas Gerais, starting from an initial conception about the current state of the building. For this, it was developed a literature review on the main cause of pathologies that affect the building, infiltration and humidity damage, and others. A case study will be presented, showing the main physical deficiencies of this resting house, to propose interventions based on Material Science and Civil Engineering. Because it is a place where the construction work must be done concomitantly with the circulation of people, this project needs to be divided into stages. It is important to point out that this work may involve both recovery materials and methods, which aim to reestablish the original conditions of the damaged structures, and reinforcement, which aim to adjust the resistant capacity of the structures according to their use. The development and application of this project will bring improvements to the elderly population of the asylum, enabling better health and mobility conditions inside the space where more than sixty old people live. Biodiversity loss is one of the main challenges of our time,1,2 and attempts to address it require a clear un derstanding of how ecological communities respond to environmental change across time and space.3,4 While the increasing availability of global databases on ecological communities has advanced our knowledge of biodiversity sensitivity to environmental changes,5–7 vast areas of the tropics remain understudied.8–11 In the American tropics, Amazonia stands out as the world’s most diverse rainforest and the primary source of Neotropical biodiversity,12 but it remains among the least known forests in America and is often underrepre sented in biodiversity databases.13–15 To worsen this situation, human-induced modifications16,17 may elim inate pieces of the Amazon’s biodiversity puzzle before we can use them to understand how ecological com munities are responding. To increase generalization and applicability of biodiversity knowledge,18,19 it is thus crucial to reduce biases in ecological research, particularly in regions projected to face the most pronounced environmental changes. We integrate ecological community metadata of 7,694 sampling sites for multiple or ganism groups in a machine learning model framework to map the research probability across the Brazilian Amazonia, while identifying the region’s vulnerability to environmental change. 15%–18% of the most ne glected areas in ecological research are expected to experience severe climate or land use changes by 2050. This means that unless we take immediate action, we will not be able to establish their current status, much less monitor how it is changing and what is being lostinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

Mapping density, diversity and species-richness of the Amazon tree flora

Using 2.046 botanically-inventoried tree plots across the largest tropical forest on Earth, we mapped tree species-diversity and tree species-richness at 0.1-degree resolution, and investigated drivers for diversity and richness. Using only location, stratified by forest type, as predictor, our spatial model, to the best of our knowledge, provides the most accurate map of tree diversity in Amazonia to date, explaining approximately 70% of the tree diversity and species-richness. Large soil-forest combinations determine a significant percentage of the variation in tree species-richness and tree alpha-diversity in Amazonian forest-plots. We suggest that the size and fragmentation of these systems drive their large-scale diversity patterns and hence local diversity. A model not using location but cumulative water deficit, tree density, and temperature seasonality explains 47% of the tree species-richness in the terra-firme forest in Amazonia. Over large areas across Amazonia, residuals of this relationship are small and poorly spatially structured, suggesting that much of the residual variation may be local. The Guyana Shield area has consistently negative residuals, showing that this area has lower tree species-richness than expected by our models. We provide extensive plot meta-data, including tree density, tree alpha-diversity and tree species-richness results and gridded maps at 0.1-degree resolution
